Dr. Arvind Kumar
Political Sociology, Higher Education & Social Inequality
Dr. Arvind Kumar is a political sociologist and higher education scholar with expertise in social inequality, caste, education, and public policy. He is a Visiting Lecturer in Political Sociology at the University of Hertfordshire, UK, and holds a PhD in Politics from Royal Holloway, University of London. A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), he has contributed extensively to research and public debates on caste discrimination, social justice, and academic inclusion. Dr. Kumar also serves as a Trustee of the British Association for South Asian Studies (BASAS) and is actively engaged in equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives in higher education. His work bridges academic research, teaching, and public engagement to advance understanding of social inequalities in contemporary societies.
